UM-FLINT MANDATORY INSURANCE COVERAGE

All students participating in UM-Flint faculty-led programs are required to be covered by a mandatory accident and sickness program, HTH (Highway to Health). Students will be automatically enrolled in HTH by the Office of Study Abroad. Students who are traveling independently on a non-faculty led program must purchase HTH individually. This can be done by first, registering in UM’s International Travel and Oversight Committee (ITOC) registry (www.umich.edu/~itoc). After registration, visit www.hthstudents.com to enroll in HTH. You will not be allowed to purchase HTH insurance if you do not register at the ITOC first.

HTH only covers students while they are abroad and will not cover students in the United States. It will not cover international students in their home country. Maintain your U.S. insurance coverage in case you are medically evacuated back to the United States.

Dependents
Dependant coverage is available through HTH. Please contact OSA for coverage information.
