In general, an international student is a student who:
wants to come to the United States to attend a university and will need a student (F-1) visa. Students requiring an F-1 visa are aliens seeking to be admitted to the US temporarily for the sole purpose of pursuing a full course of study at an educational institution approved by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
OR
is currently living in the United States on a visa (any type except B-1 or B-2).

Two 15-week terms
Fall: Early September to mid-December
Winter: Early January to late April Two 8-week terms
Spring: Early May to late June
Summer: Late June to late August
Application Deadlines
Undergraduate & ELP:
Although UM-Flint admits students on a rolling-basis, students are encouraged to apply 2 months prior to semester start.
Graduate:
International students may be required to apply earlier than the deadline posted by the program. The final deadlines for international students are May 1 for the fall semester, September 1 for the winter semester, and January 1 for the spring term. International students should apply by the earlier deadline (program deadline or the international deadline).
