Other Housing Opportunities
In addition to the new First Street Residence Hall, there are numerous other housing opportunities. There are plenty of apartments and residences that international students live in close to campus. Most of these places are only a 5 to 10 minute walk from campus and many times international students choose to live together. Some of our international students that have cars choose to live in neighboring cities that are only a 10 to 20 minute drive from campus. Most apartments cost approximately $300 - $425 (USD) a month, plus utilities and many come fully furnished. Please note that some landlords may require a deposit equal to two months rent.
For information on apartments, roommate information, and prices please see the Univeristy of Michigan – Flint Off-Campus Housing website.
You can also receive assistance for housing from the International Student Center.
