Intercultural Leadership Seminar

March 2-6, 2015

Introduction

The Intercultural Leadership Seminar is an interactive 5-day program intended to provide approximately 30 currently enrolled full-time students with a deeper understanding of how to work more effectively in intercultural settings. The seminar design deliberately addresses attitudes, awareness, knowledge and skills as central aspects to developing intercultural competence.  Because ILS attracts those who are interested in cross-cultural issues, the seminar allows participants to have the unique opportunity to engage in intensive dialog with others from diverse backgrounds who share the commitment to increasing their own intercultural competence.

This educational experience takes place over Spring Break at the Butzel Conference Center/Tamarack Camps in Ortonville, MI.  Tamarack Camps is located on over 1,250 gorgeous acres in northern Oakland County.  They have 3 private lakes and miles of trails through the woods, where the abundance of Tamarack wildlife can be viewed.  More information about the Butzel Conference Center/Tamarack Camps can be found at the Tamarack Campus website.
