Q: Why study abroad?
A: Studying abroad is a life-changing endeavor that will likely transform your perspective on yourself, your career, your country, and your world. Most Study Abroad programs at the University of Michigan-Flint provide course credit that can be used towards certain degrees. Study Abroad also helps with building your resume; showing that you have an understanding of diverse cultures.
Q: What financial aid is available for the Study Abroad program at UM-Flint?
A: Scholarships are provided to qualifying students for faculty-led Study Abroad programs. More information about the current scholarship offerings can be found here.
Q: Can students with disabilities participate in the Study Abroad program?
A: Certainly! It is important to keep in mind that many foreign countries do not have the same accessibility laws as in the United States. Therefore it is imperative that you inform the Office of Study Abroad of your needs and/or concerns so that they can be of assistance, if necessary.
Q: Where can I obtain a Passport Photo?
A: The Office of Study Abroad is able to take Passport Photos that can be taken to the U.S. Postal Office for applying for a passport. More information can be found here.
