About AICU

The Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi is the oldest higher education institution in Romania.   • Programs are typically one semester (students may spend up to two semesters)

Eligibility & Prerequisites

All undergraduate students from any discipline are permitted to participate.
2.5 GPA minimum
Must have completed at least two major terms

AICU Fall Semester: early October - late January
AICU Spring Semester: mid February - early June


Room & Board

Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi offers accommodation for exchange students at the Gaudeamus Centre for International Exchanges (learn more at  http://www.uaic.ro/uaic/bin/view/Main/Gaudeamus?language=en ).  

Places are available in double or triple rooms, fully furnished, including a TV set and a refrigerator. Each room has a private bathroom and a little balcony. Access to Internet is possible without making a special request. On each floor there is a kitchen fully equipped for cooking.  

 The accommodation fee to be paid is 490 LEI/month (approximately $166/month) for a place in a double room or triple room. Single rooms are not available.
