What is the U-M Online Directory?

¨         U-M Online Directory is campus directory for the University of Michigan including all Ann Arbor, Flint and Dearborn students, faculty, and staff.  The directory is available through the World Wide Web to anyone who has access to the Internet.

¨         The U-M Online personal entry is automatically created for each student, faculty member, and staff member.  The entry includes your name,
aliases, title, campus and home address, campus and home phone number, uniqname, and email.

¨         If you would prefer not to have this personal information about you available on the Internet, you can edit your personal entry.

Editing Your Online Directory Entry:

¨         You can modify your own directory information
(e.g., update your address and phone number when you move or delete them if you do not want them to appear).

¨         Once you have edited your e-mail address in U-M Online Directory, you can use a standard and short e-mail address (i.e. your_uniqname@umich.edu -- where "your_uniqname" is replaced by your own uniqname) that will route mail to your mailbox.

How to Edit Your Online Directory Entry:

Check out Quicknote #21.  Available in 206 MSB computer lab, at the ITS Helpdesk, and on the web; http://www.umflint.edu/its/helpdesk/quicknotes/QN21.pdf
