Introduction:This Quicknote is intended as a reports index for UM-Flint Banner Users. It describes the Banner reports available through Microsoft Access in the ssem2000 database, how to open the database, and where to locate additional information about using each report. Please refer to supplemental Quicknotes 36A, 36B 36C and 36E for additional instructions on using each type of report, as described below. |

This document assumes you have already been issued a Banner ID and password, and that the current versions of Banner and Microsoft Access are installed on your computer. Banner Reports may be accessed only from a networked, Windows-based PC (not available on Mac platform).

Note: All reports require the user to enter his/her Banner ID and Password when the report is run. (highlight DSAMIDA and type your Banner ID) |

1. From the Start menu, select Programs, then Microsoft Access. 2. Make sure Open an Existing Database is selected, then select More Files.... and click Ok.
3. In the space at the bottom titled File Name: type **Note: After first use of the ssem2000 database, the file name will automatically appear in the space under, “Open an existing file," and you may simply double-click on the file name to reopen it. |

4. You will be notified that the database is read-only. Click Ok. 5. The database should open with the Forms button selected. You should see a screen like this: 6. Select the form you wish to work with by double-clicking it.
