Important Policies
  • Please do not move, rearrange, or disconnect the Mediated Equipment.
    • These podiums have electronic components that may be damaged if untrained individuals attempt to move them.  Only MCS staff is allowed to move the podiums.
  • Do not turn off the power strip.
    • Please power down the equipment properly.

NOTE:  If the screen is black, touch the screen to bring it out of standby mode.

At any time you may move the screen(s) up or down to use the whiteboard(s).

Connect a Laptop

Select the Laptop source
NOTE:  To play audio from the laptop in a classroom which has two projectors,  be sure to select the laptop source using the right display.

Display Laptop as the source
Press Fn and F8 keys simultaneously

Connect an iPod

To play the audio from an iPod, select the Laptop source
NOTE:  Make your selection in the right display if using a two-projector classroom.

Presentations with Sound
If the classroom has two projectors, select the source in the right display to play the sound.

Muting Sound in the Ceiling-Mounted Speakers
NOTE:  the Touch Panel plays sound softly through its speaker and there is currently no option to mute this sound.

Adjusting Sound Levels
Use the Up and Down Arrows to adjust the level of sound through the ceiling-mounted speakers.

Power Off button
When you are finished, please turn off equipment such as the Computer, DVD/VCR player or Document Camera.

Press Yes to turn off projector(s) and raise screen(s)
(turn off the computer, document camera,  and DVD/VCR player prior to shutting down)

At this point, you are set to leave the classroom! 
Please don’t forget to turn off overhead lighting.
