ITS and Ameritech hosted a two-day Palm Handheld training session for teachers from Grand Blanc Schools with trainer Lisa Olinger.

New Palm Handheld skills learned:

  • How to use calendar
  • Graphing functions
  • Using printer
  • Loading and unloading software
  • "Graffitti" writing
  • Creating an e-book
  • Using add-on cards
  • Using Palms in every content area
              

Applying the new skills in the classroom:

  • Attendance and grades management
  • Giving warm-ups, quizzes, and study guides
  • Guiding students in note and test taking, and projects
  • Graphing trig and linear functions
  • Word processing and using "probes" in the Science class
  • Create review lessons
