Sharing Licensed Software
Not all piracy involves copying and distributing copyrighted software for a profit. Sometimes it can be the result of something as innocent as wanting to help out a friend. When you purchase a licensed piece of software it authorizes you to install and use the software on your computer. This license does not give you the right to pass the software on to other people to install and use. For multiple installations you typically need to purchase additional licenses or additional software.
Take a look at some of the Fact Sheets on Define the Line's website to learn more about why it is illegal to "lend" software to friends.
Question 1. True or False: If you lend a program that you legally own to a friend to install on his/her computer it is perfectly legal.
