eReserves
|
Items on electronic reserve are now available via Mirlyn Course Reserves.
Simply enter Mirlyn and click on
the "Course Reserves" link in the upper right corner [illustration]. Once you are in Course
Reserves, you can search or browse by course, instructor, title, or
author.
If your search retrieves only one electronic reserves item, click on the "Electronic Location" [illustration] to open the file. If your search retrieves a list of electronic reserves items, click on the "Title" [illustration] and then the "Electronic Location" [illustration] to open the file. If you are off campus, you will be prompted for login via EZProxy. Hard copy items on "traditional" reserve have a call number [illustration], and have to be obtained at the Thompson Library. (Click on the call number to find out the loan period.) Items on electronic reserve can be opened or downloaded anywhere, as long as you have the correct software applications on the computer you are using. This software is installed on the computers in the ITS student computing labs. If you need to install applications on your home computer, many free downloads are available. The most commonly used applications are Adobe Reader and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. This method of access replaces ERes. We hope you find the new system easy to use. Please contact the Reference Desk (810-762-3408) or Loan Desk (810-762-3400) if you have any problems. |
