Senior Summer Academy

SENIOR ACADEMY OF MUSIC


The University of Michigan-Flint will once again offer a SUMMER JUNIOR ACADEMY OF MUSIC for students completing grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.  This is the 26th year for the ACADEMY! Here are the details:


WHEN: Tuesday, July 21 –  Friday, July 31
TIME: 9:00 a.m.– 2:30 p.m. daily, excluding Saturday and Sunday
WHAT: Sr. Academy Choir (twice a day)
Dance/Movement
Vocal Techniques Class
Men’s and Women’s Ensembles
Music Theory/Composition
COST: $145 for the entire two weeks
CONCERT: Friday, July 31 at 7:00p.m.

The Academy seeks students who can match pitch, love to sing, and want to develop their musicianship.   At less than $17/day, the ACADEMY is a wise investment in summer music education.


Auditions for new students will be held in room 140 French Hall at UM-Flint.  The audition schedule is below:

SR. ACADEMY
Monday, May 11    5:00-6:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 12    4:00-5:00 p.m.
Friday, May 29    6:00-7:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 30    1:00-2:00 p.m.


Dr. Gabriela Hristova is this year’s SENIOR ACADEMY conductor.
