Banners Brand Campus

The Skinny

They’re everywhere! Forty-eight pairs of maize and blue banners now outline the campus of the University of Michigan-Flint. Long before you arrive on campus, you can spot the six-foot banners on light posts. This past summer, the Flint and Dearborn campuses adopted the Ann Arbor “M” as part of their official logos. That’s the “M” used on the banners.
“The banners do more than just brand and identify the campus,” said Interim Chancellor Jack Kay. “They are our way of saying to the community around us; we are proud of who we are by showing our colors, and proud to be an active partner with our neighbors.”

Currently, the banners boarder most of the campus except for a few blocks on the Saginaw Street side of the Pavilion.
