UM-Flint Student Veterans Have New Resource on Campus

VetBizCentral has opened a satellite office in Room 4210 of the William S. White Building.

Student veterans interested in starting or expanding a business have a new resource located in the William S. White Building.

VetBizCentral  has opened a satellite office in Room 4210. The non-profit organization is set-up under the Small Business Administration to serve military personnel, veterans, guard, and reserve members as well as their families.

“We offer a variety of services, including business counseling, business plan review, loan package assistance, seminars, and networking activities,”  said Matt Sherwood, associate director. “We also provide structured entrepreneurial training courses utilizing various curricula.”

The organization works in cooperation with the School of Management and University Outreach.  The office services both student veterans and those who live in the surrounding area.

Sherwood said there is a very strong demand for VetBizCentral services in Genesee County and surrounding counties.

The organization’s main office is located in Suite 206, 711 N. Saginaw St, Flint. For additional information call (810) 715-9724.
