The Career Center offers comprehensive career and professional development services to UM-Flint students and alumni. An array of programs and services ranging from individual career advising and interactive online programs, the annual career/internship fairs and experiential education opportunities are intended to move students through a self and career discovery process intended to equip them for the 21st century workforce. The Career Center hosts two Career Fairs each year to bring students and recruiters together, right here on campus. All students are encouraged to attend to:

  • Meet with recruiters and graduate schools targeting UM-Flint students
  • Learn about application deadlines/process
  • Find professional experiences
  • Network with industry members
  • Expand your knowledge of potential career/educational opportunities

Over 80 corporations and graduate schools are looking for students like you to fill full-time, part-time, internships, and seasonal opportunities. Recruiters want to speak with students from all class levels (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Graduate).

Riverfront Ice Cream Social

6:00 -7:30 pm in the Riverfront Lobby

Riverfront residents: Meet with Career Advisors to learn about Career Center services, snap a picture in our photo booth, and help yourself to an ice cream treat in an informal social setting.

First Street Social

First Street residents: Meet with Career Advisors to learn about the "Careers 4 Years" planning guide, enjoy ice cream, and snap a picture in our photo booth.

Careers 4 Years

The Career Center's Careers 4 Years program will guide you towards success for your future career. Students who complete the suggested Careers 4 Years tasks will position themselves to have a wide range of professional skills and connections.
