The Staff Assembly and the Staff Council stimulate and maintain a spirit of unity and open communication between the University Support Personnel and the Administration of the University of Michigan-Flint.

Staff Recognition Award

The University of Michigan-Flint Staff Council is proud to announce the recipients of the 2017 Staff Recognition Award. Congratulations to Joy O'Brien, Academic Advisor/Counselor, School of Nursing and Rebecca Pettengill Corporate & Foundation Relations Officer Senior,  Alumni Relations & Development. The nominations and supplemental materials received were impressive and detailed an extraordinary level of talent, professionalism, and dedication to our campus and students. Vicki Ames Appointed to Special Network Team

Vicki Ames of UM-Flint Facilities & Operations was recently been added to U of M's The Voices of the Staff Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network Team. She is also a core team member of VOICES. Says Ames, "I’m excited to say that I received a very warm welcome." In mid-November, the Voices of the Staff Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team is hosting a workshop as one of a series of events associated with President Schlissel's Diversity Summit initiative. The team's workshop is entitled "Connecting Through Story: How Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Impacts the Workplace."
