MSN Admission and Application Information

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS WITH A BSN DEGREE *

      • CHM 150 or any 3 credits of college level chemistry 

 

      • SOC 215 or any college level statistics

 

      • Current Michigan RN license

 

      • Written statement of professional philosophy

 

      • Written statement of goals

 

      • 3 letters of selected professional references (found in application packet)

 

      • Interview with graduate faculty

 

      • 3.0 Undergraduate GPA preferred* 

         Grade of C or better required in above courses.
        *GPA will be configured for courses taken within the past 7 years.  If the student has not taken classes in the last 7 years, the most recent past 7 years will be considered.

Rolling Admissions: Admissions received before May 1 will receive priority.

 

*RN/MSN CURRICULAR PATHWAY
                   FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT A BSN DEGREE

If you do not have a BSN degree and are interested in becoming a Nurse Practitioner, you may choose to follow the RN/MSN curricular pathway.  After completing bridge requirements in the RN/BSN program, students are eligible to apply directly to the MSN program.  RN/MSN students do not receive a BSN degree.  CLICK HERE
