This program is designed for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in a non-nursing field. The ASD BSN program is a full-time, 16-month program in which students are admitted to a “cohort” group. Nursing courses for this program are offered on campus during the fall, winter, spring and summer semesters. Applications are accepted once per year with a deadline in early January for fall admission. Students must submit an application to the Department of Nursing and obtain acceptance to the University.

Graduates of this program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN), an examination in order to obtain a nursing license. These exams are developed and owned by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN). This program is accredited through June 2016 by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
