Deborah Filos, MSN, RN

Clinical Assistant Professor, Coordinator Nursing Simulation Lab

Professor Filos is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Nursing Simulation Lab Coordinator in the School of Nursing. She received her Diploma in Nursing from Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit, MI, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit, and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Professor Filos has been a practicing RN for 35 years in the areas of adult medical surgical nursing, adult intensive care nursing, pulmonary and critical care research, and pre-licensure nursing education.



Professor Filos has been in the School of Nursing since 1993, serving as both a clinical and theory instructor for Medical Surgical Nursing, Advanced Medical Surgical Nursing, Nursing Research, and Fundamentals of Nursing.



Professor Filos's research interests include the best practices for adult medical/surgical nursing and current updates in nursing education, including simulation learning.
