Step 1 : Click on the Control Panel link and click on any content area. This could be the Assignments, Course Documents, Course Information, etc.
Step 2 : On the far left hand side, click on the drop down arrow and select Discussion Board option. Click Go .

Step 3 : At this point, you can either use a previously created Discussion Board Forum, or you can create your own. Select an option and click Next.

If you create a new forum at this point, you will be sent back to the Discussion Board page and you will have to go through steps one and two again.
Step 4 : Fill in the Text box with information regarding the forum. This information will be listed under the link to the Discussion Board Forum.
Step 5 : You can then choose whether to make the link available, if you would like to Track Changes, or what the date restrictions are.

Step 6: Click on the Submit button to finish the process of time releasing your Discussion Board Forum.
