Editing Your Homepage

This guide will walk you through the process of editing your homepage. 

Note: This feature is only viewable in the class you created it in. You will have to make separate homepages for each class you are currently enrolled in.

Editing Your Homepage:

Step 1: Click on the button.

Step 2: Click on the Homepage link.

Step 3: To display an introduction message, type your message in the Intro Message textbox. You may also include personal information about yourself for others to read. To do so, type your message in the Personal Information textbox.

Step 4 : You have the option of uploading a picture to your homepage. To do so, click on the Browse button. If you had previously uploaded a picture to your homepage, and would like to remove it, just click on the check box directly to the left of Remove this Image and then click on the Submit button at the bottom right corner of this page.

Step 5: You can also add your favorite web site addresses to your homepage. Blackboard allows students to show up to three of their favorite web site addresses. For each one, first enter a title for the web site in the Title textbox. Next, enter the URL address in the URL textbox. Finally, you may add a description of the web site in the Description textbox, so that people who view your homepage will have an idea of what your favorite web site consists of.

Step 6: Finally, click on the Submit button.

Step 7: You will receive a receipt message notifying you that your homepage was successfully completed (or updated). Click on the button to the far right of the screen to close the receipt page.
