This guide will walk you through the process of getting familiar with how to use the Virtual Classroom.
Getting Familiar with Virtual Classroom:
Step 1: Click on the Communication button, then click on the Collaboration link.
Step 2 : Click on the Join button next to the any option that says Virtual Classroom underneath the Tool column.

Step 3: A Java chat room will now start up. There are 7 parts to the chat, which are:

1. This area is designated for you to compose your message.
2. Press the Send button to submit your message.
3. The classroom toolbox is in the upper-left hand corner. The toolbox has the following features:
4. By clicking on the View button, you will have two different options on how to view your lightweight chat session: 1) to show in-line or 2) to show in separate frames. You can click Clear to clear the screen. Breakout creates a private chat room for you and people you invite.

Within the Tools area you will find the arrow tool (used to select figures or items from the toolbar), the pen drawing tool (you may also choose the color to draw in by selecting the color from the fill color drop down box), the text tool (used to insert text into a text box), the slanted line tool (used to draw various styles of lines), the pointer tool (used to highlight something), the square drawing tool (used to draw either rectangle or square shapes), the oval drawing tool (used to draw circles or ovals), and the math and science equation editor tool (used to insert an equation). Also, you will be able to choose a file color, a pen color, a line width, a font style, or a font size to add character to your virtual classroom session.
6. By clicking on the User Info button, you will see both the user's ID and the user's email address. You will also have the option to send that particular user a Private Message .
7. Clicking on the Private Message button causes the Compose Private Message screen to appear. Type your message, type in a recipient's name, and then click on the Send button when finished.
