UM-Flint's Innovation Incubator is a program of University of Michigan-Flint’s University Outreach. Focused on social entrepreneurship, innovation and economic-based ventures, it’s a place for people in the community to co-work, create and collaborate.
What started as an effort to track kids in the community has turned into a massive system of information glued together by the mapping skills of UM-Flint staff and students.
As part of efforts to expand the reach of the Innovation Incubator, staff has taken the business training out into the community with 2 new business boot camps: 5 Steps to Start Up and [IN] on the Road
The Arts and Social Entrepreneurship Symposium brought together local arts entrepreneurs for a day of workshops and panel discussions.
The Social Impact Challenge featured teams from UM-Flint and U-M presenting their ideas of how to better connect [IN] on the Road’s neighborhood entrepreneurs with the new Ferris Wheel innovation hub downtown.
