UM-Flint Students Re-Imagine Flint’s Civic Park Neighborhood

University of Michigan-Flint resource planning and social work students met last week at Joy Tabernacle on Chevrolet Avenue to present to the public their proposals for revamping vacant sites within the Civic Park neighborhood.

Mott Grant Advances UM-Flint GIS Center’s Data Mapping Mission

The University of Michigan-Flint is leading a community-wide online project in which researchers and the public will be able to access a wide variety of data from numerous sources and customize maps.

The project received a $100,000 grant from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.

University Outreach and the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Center will spearhead the initiative, which includes collaborating with an advisory committee of several different community partners.

University of Michigan-Flint faculty scholars look to enhance community engagement in Flint

Boyer Faculty Scholars help further the Boyer program's goal to deepen campus-wide discourse, practice, and recognition of the scholarship of engagement at the university. With their experiences in the Boyer Program, they hope to make contributions to the greater Flint community as well.
