UM-Flint Impact Circle: Imagine Flint Master Plan Implementation

UM-Flint launched an “impact circle” to galvanize research and academic service-learning connections related to the City of Flint’s new Imagine Flint Master Plan.

The Imagine Flint Master Plan is a visionary blueprint for 20+ years of future city planning and development, comprehensively addressing all aspects of city life.

Now in its implementation phase, the plan offers opportunities for faculty and students of all disciplines to research and apply learning to bring the plan to fruition. Current priority areas for plan implementation are neighborhood stabilization including housing; education and economic development including literacy; and environmental features.

In addition to the City of Flint, we are pleased to have the Civic Park neighborhood’s Urban Renaissance Center and Metro Community Development’s Building Neighborhood Capacity Program as leading community partners for the Impact Circle initiative.
