Scholarships
The scholarships listed below are administered by the Political Science department, and are open to political science majors and other eligible students at UM-Flint. Students should contact the Office of Financial Aid (UPAV 277), or visit the UM-Flint Scholarships site for full details and deadlines.
Margaret Anne Burd-UAW Local 599 Memorial Scholarship: For full-time students enrolled in the
David French Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship is available to UM-Flint students majoring in Political Science. Applicants must have completed 25 credit hours with a cumulative 3.0 GPA
Richard S. Harris Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is designed for Political Science or English majors who have expressed intent to enter the legal profession. Applicant must have completed a minimum of 60 credit hours. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a minimum GPA, in the major, of 3.4. Applicant must also have completed at least 3 Political Science or English courses within their major
David R. Keller Book Fund: This fund was established to assist students in purchasing textbooks for their education at University of Michigan-Flint. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students majoring in Political Science
Gilbert Rubenstein Attorney at Law Scholarship Fund: Applicants must be enrolled at the
Lillian B. and Bruce E. Wright Memorial Scholarship: For adult returning students at the University of Michigan-Flint with a major or minor in political science or public administration, or who have been actively involved in the political process at the local, state or national level. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required
