Scholarly or Creative Achievement Award
The award for scholarly or creative achievement is available to recognize outstanding faculty performance at the University of Michigan‑Flint. Carrying a stipend of $2,000, this award may be made to full-time instructors, assistant, associate, or full professors. It is not a requirement that this honor be awarded every year.
Full-time faculty members who have been with the University for a minimum of three years are
eligible to be nominated.
An individual would normally be excluded from consideration for this award for any of the
He/she holds a continuing administrative or non-teaching appointment of more than one third.
He/she holds an administrative appointment above the level of department chair.
He/she is the current David M. French Professor.
He/she is a current member of the SASE.
He/she has received this award within the past five years.
Name of nominee and the name of the award for which the person is being nominated is due no later than Thursday, January 28, 2016. This information should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for supporting documents is Thursday, March 18, 2016. Supporting documents should be submitted to the chair of the Scholarships, Awards and Special Events Committee, c/o Provost’s Office, 229 University Pavilion or via e-mail to email@example.com.

Nominee's condensed vita (2 pages).
Signature from appropriate department chair (dean in the case of SOM, director in the case of SHPS) on the Nomination for Faculty Award form.
Candidate's statement for a general audience (maximum 750 words) about research program and its significance in the candidate's field.
Abstracts of each book written (if applicable) and up to five representative publications (articles, books) or creative work (such as art slides).
- Up to three (3) letters from peers (internal or external) that addresses the scholarly activity of the nominee.
