Transcript Deadline

Transcripts requested for mail or pick up after 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 24th will not be processed until Friday, January 2nd, 2015.

Requesting UM-Flint Transcripts

The University of Michigan-Flint has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcript ordering via the Web. You can order transcripts using any major credit card. Your card will only be charged after your order has been completed. To order an official trancript(s), go to the Clearinghouse secure site. The site will walk you through placing your order, including delivery options and fees. You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session. A processing fee will be charged per recipient. Order updates will be emailed to you. You can also track your order online. 

Cost & Processing Time

Please Note: Processing time listed DOES NOT include time in the mail.

  • Standard Processing (1 business day) $4.00
  • PDF Electronic Transcript (only available with online orders, processed within minutes unless attachments or holds exists) $10.00
  • Over-night Delivery (only available by contacting the Registrars office, 1 business day) $35.00
  • Intra-Campus (another UM office, only available by contacting the Registrars Office) No Charge.

Transcript requests cannot be processed until payment has been received. Online requests will pre-authorize payment with your credit card. The actual charge will not be processed until the transcript has been sent.

We do not fax transcripts.

Attachments

Transcript requests may include attachments such as applications or cover letters that must be delivered with the transcript. If ordering online, please upload the necessary documents in a .doc, .txt or .jpg format. The documents will be viewed and sent with the final transcript - either by the PDF electronic process or the mailing of paper copies. There is a maximum of 2 documents allowed. Each document may be longer than one page. PDF electronic transcripts with attachments will take one business day to process.

Official vs. Unofficial Transcripts

A transcript is a student's complete academic record at the University of Michigan-Flint.Official Transcripts are printed on special protective paper or created with a secure PDF format. The transcript is only official if it has the University of Michigan-Flint seal and the Registrar's signature. Official transcripts given directly to a student will be stamped Issued to Student and may not be accepted as official.

Students may obtain a copy of their unofficial transcript using the Student Information System (SIS). You will need your Uniqname and LAN Password to login to the secure area. Rackham Transcript Information

Students who attended the Horace H. Prior School(s) Transcripts

Any transcripts that were presented for admission purposes have become an integral part of the files of the admitting offices and cannot be released, either directly or for copying purposes. It will be necessary for you to write directly to the institutions concerned to obtain copies of those previous records.
