UM-Flint Transcript Information
A transcript is a student's complete academic record at the University of Michigan-Flint.
Official Transcripts are printed on special protective paper or created with a secure PDF format. The transcript is only official if it has the University of Michigan-Flint seal and the Registrar's signature. Official transcripts given directly to a student will be stamped Issued to Student and may not be accepted as official.
Please note that tuition, fees, and all financial obligations must be paid in full before an official transcript can be issued.

Ordering Transcripts
Students should request a copy of their official transcript online at one of the following links. NEW: Transcripts my now be sent electronically!!
- If you attended UM-Flint between 2000 and the present term use the Student Information System (SIS) online process. You will need your User ID (UMID or SSN) and PIN to login to the secure area. If you do not remember your PIN, please use the forgot PIN option to reset your password.
- For alumni and students who attended prior to 2000 use the Clearinghouse Transcript Request process.
Paper Transcript Order Forms are available in the Office of the Registrar.

Attachments
Transcript requests may include attachments such as applications or cover letters that must be delivered with the transcript. If ordering online, please upload the necessary documents in a .doc, .txt or .jpg format. The documents will be viewed and sent with the final transcript - either by the PDF electronic process or the mailing of paper copies. There is a maximum of 2 documents allowed. Each document may be longer than one page. PDF electronic transcripts with attachments will take one business day to process.
Payment
Transcript requests cannot be processed until payment has been received. Online requests will pre-authorize payment with your credit card. The actual charge will not be processed until the transcript has been sent.
If you elect to pay with credit card when using the paper form, please include your credit card number, expiration date and security code on the request form. You may call our Cashier's Office at (810) 762-3490 with your credit card information if you would like to pay for your transcript by phone.
Payment by cash may be made at our Cashier's Office (261 UPAV). Otherwise, a check or money order made out to the University of Michigan-Flint should be enclosed with the completed form.
Unofficial Transcripts
Students may obtain a copy of their unofficial transcript using the Student Information System (SIS). You will need your User ID (UMID or ssno) and PIN to login to the secure area. Please visit the Online Transcript Instructions page for more information.
Students who do not have a User ID, or with holds on their records, should contact the Registrar's Office at (810) 762-3344.
Rackham Transcript Information
Students who attended the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies prior to Winter 2000 should direct the transcript request to:

Students who atteneded Rackham School of Graduate Studies January 2000 or later may direct the transcript request to the Flint campus.
Prior School(s) Transcripts
Any transcripts that were presented for admission purposes have become an integral part of the files of the admitting offices and cannot be released, either directly or for copying purposes. It will be necessary for you to write directly to the institutions concerned to obtain copies of those previous records.
Can I have my transcript faxed?
The Office of the Registrar does not fax official documents such as transcripts. You may choose to have your transcript mailed or you may return and pick it up in person (please bring a photo ID).
