Veterans Benefits

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) operates various education assistance for the following programs:

Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill – Active Duty
Chapter 1606 Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve
MyCAA Spouses of 1606
Chapter 1607 Education Assistance for Reserves Supporting Contingency Operations
Chapter 35 Survivors’ & Dependents’ Educational Assistance
Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment
Chapter 33 Post 9/11 **

 

** The Post 9/11 Bill is for Veterans who have served at least 90 days of active duty, or served 30 days of active duty and were discharged with a service-connected disability, since Sept. 10, 2001.  Once a Veteran elects Chapter 33, they cannot switch back to a previous election.  Click here to view a Post 9/11 checklist.

The Veterans Information Sheet covers most of the VA policies relating to education benefits. It is important that you are familiar with this information.

Veterans Intent Form

All students, regardless of Chapter, must complete a Veterans Intent Form for each semester enrolled. For first time veterans, please see the Veteran's Certifying Official to fill out the Intent Form. Subsequent forms can be completed online.
