About the Meeting of Minds Journal of Undergraduate Research

Students who present at the Meeting of Minds Undergraduate Research Conference are also eligible to submit their research for publication in the conference's proceedings, more formally referred to as the Journal of Undergraduate Research.

Once completed, the journal will be available for electronic viewing and downloading (in pdf). To view any of the previous manuscripts, click on any of the past e-journals listed below. Visit the "Table of Contents" sections to access the manuscripts for that year's publication. Please note: the journals produced by Oakland University are in one stand-alone pdf.


Submission Guidelines

  • The deadline to submit your publication is Friday, August 5, 2016.
  • All papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word.
  • The text of all manuscripts must be no more than 15 double-spaced pages typed in 10-12 point font size with one-inch margins.
  • Images and graphs may be incorporated into the text where possible.
  • The bibliography and citations should conform to the guidelines appropriate to that field. Information about various citation styles is available at: http://www.bibme.org/citation-guide/
  • Faculty endorsement is required for all submissions. After you submit your paper, an email will be sent to your faculty sponsor requesting their endorsement. Only papers that have been endorsed by a faculty sponsor will be accepted.
