Michigan Undergraduate Research Forum

Welcome to the MURF Homepage!

The Michigan Undergraduate Research Forum (MURF) is an undergraduate research conference sponsored jointly by the three campuses of the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University.  The forum is designed to allow students the opportunity to present their research at the Michigan State Capitol Building. In the past, the event was made up of poster presentations. But the event has been modified to now allow students to present in a hearing-style format; similar to how legislators debate and present various legislative issues.

MURF was organized to inform state legislators of the value of the research experiences undergraduate students receive through Michigan's major universities.  The conference also serves to publicly recognize the contributions that our students make to research.

The date for next year's MURF will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
