Dr. Mazumder received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from University of Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2003 where he developed a model for predicting impact behavior of entrained solid particles in complex gas-liquid-solid multiphase flow.
He has 18 years of experience working in research and development  activities in aerospace, turbo machinery, and electric power industries.  His current research interest includes computational fluid dynamics, alternative energy, engineering
education, metacognition, etc.   He is very passionate and dedicated  researcher who motivates undergraduate students to
conducts  research  through which students develop unique knowledge and skills that differentiates them from other peer students.

Dr. Mazumder works on several on-campus and collaborative research with University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and Rochester Institute of Technology and received several internal and external research grants from different organizations such as NASA and National Science Foundation.
