Project Description: The project involves working during the week of the Paragone Studies Conference, which is being sponsored by the university and the FIA. The actual conference is being held July 20-21st. Scholars from across the country will be meeting over those to days to give papers on arts-related topics. The conference is being organised by Dr. Lippert in the Dept. of Communication and Visual Arts.
Student Tasks & Responsibilities: Student responsibilities include assembling conference packets, helping with registering presenters, helping presenters with last minute details (setting out water, pens, etc.), and other last minute details that arise. The position is to work for 20 hours the week of the conference at the rate of $12 per hour. It is a short term position (no work or hours required before or after that week).
Minimum Student Qualifications: Must be attentive to detail. Simple computing-related tasks may be an asset, such as working with Microsoft Word or Excel, but this is not necessary.
