Project Title: Exploring the Impact of the Flint Farmer's Market Move

Project Description: The Flint Farmer's Market will move to the Flint Journal Building in Spring 2014. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the move. Specifically, we will examine the economic impacts of the move, and whether the move resulted in a change in vendors and patrons. Likewise, this study will require data collection before and after the move of the market. Data will be collected via surveys and interviews.
Student Tasks & Responsibilities: The student will collect existing research on farmer's markets, assist in the development of survey instruments, assist in administering the surveys, help with interviews or focus group sessions, enter data into SPSS (a statistical program), and assist with writing and editing the final paper.
Minimum Student Qualifications: The student must have very strong written and oral communication skills.
