Participation Requirements

• A UROP Student Application
• Certification in at least one module of PEERRS
• Must be currently enrolled in at least one 3-credit course during the Fall and Winter semesters
• Participation in a one-hour UROP orientation (for new UROP students)
• A signed UROP Contract must be submitted before students are authorized to start a project
• Paid students MUST complete ALL University
• Employment paperwork BEFORE doing ANY work. Click here for instructions on completing U of M employment paperwork.
• Timesheets, signed by faculty sponsor or authorized signer, must be turned in on a bi-weekly basis.

*Note: Additional project requirements (GPA, major, relevant experience) may be specified by faculty sponsors


General Guidelines

• Report to work on a regular basis and for the required number of hours
• Participate in meetings with faculty sponsor
• Participate in meetings with UROP staff (optional)
• Notify your faculty/staff sponsor if you cannot report to work
• Maintain communication with the faculty sponsor in reporting your progress
• Presenation at the Meeting of Minds Undergraduate Research Conference and/or the Michigan Undergraduate Research Forum is encouraged.
• Complete an evaluation form.
