UROP Participation Requirements and Rules
Participation Requirements
- Interested students must be currently enrolled in at least one 3-credit course
- Student must submit a UROP Student Application
- All UROP students must be certified in at least one module of PEERRS
- A completed and signed UROP Contract must be submitted
- Class credit UROP students must be enrolled in Independent Study course in your discipline (i.e. BUS 391)
*Note: Additional requirements (GPA, major, relevant experience) may be specified by faculty sponsors
General Rules
- Report to work on a regular basis and for the required number of hours
- Meetings with faculty sponsor (frequency to be determined)
- Notify your faculty/staff sponsor if you cannot report to work at the required time due to illness or other valid problems
- Maintain communication with the faculty sponsor in reporting your progress
- Turn bi-weekly timesheets, signed by faculty sponsor or authorized signer, in to the Office of Research on pre-determined submission dates
- Participate in the Meeting of Minds Undergraduate Research Conference and/or the Michigan Undergraduate Research Forum
- Complete an evaluation form.
