Project Title: Playgrounds in Michigan

Project Description: The student will conduct research in collaboration with a faculty member from the Department of Public Health and Health Sciences at the University of Michigan-Flint.  The research focuses on playgrounds for children living with disabilities in Michigan.  The research ultimately seeks to increase opportunities for children living with disabilities.  Opportunity is available to co-write a manuscript which will be submitted for peer review to an academic journal. The student will travel to several playgrounds in Michigan to complete observation forms at the playgrounds.

Student Tasks & Responsibilities: Performing literature searches; conducting observations at several playgrounds; entering data and composing tables and graphs.

Minimum Student Qualifications: Strong writing and analytical skills.  Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to several playgrounds in Michigan.
