Introduction to eApplications

The session will provide an introduction to current and forthcoming electronic proposal application forms (internal UM administrative shell for proposals) and other electronic grant application systems such as Grants.gov and FastLane.

Introduction to SPSS

A 5-session introduction to this powerful software to help you with your statistical analysis.  The session will be facilitated by staff from the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research (CSCAR).  Participation in all 5 sessions is required.

Introduction to NVivo

This day-long workshop will introduce participants to NVivo 7; a sophisticated program used to analyze qualitative data. The workshop will cover the basic functions of the program. The session will be facilitated by staff from the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research (CSCAR).

Introduction to eResearch

This workshop will introduce participants to eResearch, a web-based system which allows researchers to submit their research projects to the IRB for review and approval. This session will be facilitated by Jenny Jalet from Michigan Administrative Information Services (MAIS) and supported by Sally Conley from UM-Flint's IRB Staff.

SPIN

This hands-on workshop will provide participants with instructions on how to use the Sponsored Programs Information Network (SPIN); a powerful database listing an assortment of sponsored programs and funding opportunities from organizations all over the world.
