Introduction to eApplications

The session will provide an introduction to current and forthcoming electronic proposal application forms (internal UM administrative shell for proposals) and other electronic grant application systems such as Grants.gov and FastLane.

Introduction to SPSS

A 5-session introduction to this powerful software to help you with your statistical analysis.  The session will be facilitated by staff from the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research (CSCAR).  Participation in all 5 sessions is required.

Introduction to NVivo

This day-long workshop will introduce participants to NVivo 8; a sophisticated program used to analyze qualitative data. The workshop will cover the basic functions of the program. The session will be facilitated by staff from the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research (CSCAR).

eResearch - Regulatory Management

This workshop will introduce participants to eResearch (Regulatory Management), a web-based system which allows researchers to submit their human subjects research projects to the Institutional Review Board for review and approval. This session will be facilitated by Sally Conley from UM-Flint's IRB Staff and John Callewaert.

eResearch - Proposal Management

Hands-on instructor-led class, prepares project team members and individuals who create & review or facilitate the review of proposals in eRPM system by:

  • Facilitating the transition from current ePAF processing to working with Proposal Approval Forms (PAFs) in eRPM
  • Providing skills and knowledge to articular eRPM workflow, create and manage PAFs/proposals, review and approve proposals (or show others how to do this), use system functionality to communicate with others, and view past transactions
  • Promoting electronic management of proposals from proposal preparation through submission to sponsor.
