October 30 – November 5, 2004

11/01/04 Monday An unknown person removed a lock from a locker in the Rec Center and stole a pair of pants containing a wallet and watch. The wallet and credit cards were later found on the side of a road in Hamburg Township south of Brighton .

11/01/04 Monday Public Safety was called regarding a suspicious person loitering in the Murchie Science building. The subject was located. He had a criminal bench warrant for his arrest for failure to appear for a court appearance.

11/02/04 Tuesday Two juveniles were contacted for skipping school. They were loitering at the entrance to the Library and were disorderly in their behavior. The juveniles were transported to their high school and released to the principal. Charges for obstructing an investigation are being considered.

11/02/04 Tuesday Pants containing cash and keys was stolen from a locker in the men's locker room in the Rec Center .

11/02/04 Tuesday Hit and run property damage was reported to a car parked in the Mill street parking ramp.

11/03/04 Wednesday A student emailed a professor indicating she was having suicidal thoughts. Public Safety tracked the victim down and determined she was with her clergy.

11/03/04 Wednesday A witness reported seeing a hit and run accident in the Pavilion parking ramp. A description of the car was provided by the witness. Public Safety searched the parking structure on the days that followed and found a couple of vehicles that matched the description. Victim was able to identify one of these vehicles as the correct vehicle. An investigation being conducted by Sgt Cozart of the Department of Public Safety continues with hopes of identifying the at fault driver and take the necessary enforcement action.

11/03/04 Wednesday Public Safety responded to a medical emergency in UCEN. A student was having a diabetic emergency. She was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

11/03/04 Wednesday A subject with a felony warrant for drugs previously obtained by the Department of Pubic Safety was contacted while begging students for money in Lot R near the White building. The jail would not lodge on the warrant. Suspect was trespassed and released. Additional charges for trespass and disorderly conduct will be sought.

11/04/04 Thursday A subject was trespassed from returning to University property after he snuck into the Rec Center without paying for the entrance fee.

11/04/04 Thursday A person driving a red Chevy Cavalier struck an occupied car while both cars were in Lot R by the White building. An investigation is being conducted by Sgt Cozart of the Department of Public Safety.
