Crime Incidents
December 3rd – December 9th , 2005
12/03/05 A man loitering in the stairwell at Harrison Street parking ramp refused to leave when requested by DPS. He agreed to leave only after additional officers arrived. A warrant will be sought for criminal trespass.
12/05/05 A subject was found sleeping in the stairwell in Harrison street parking ramp. He had been previously trespassed. A search subsequent to arrest revealed a baggie of marijuana. The material has been sent to the state lab for analysis. If tested positive for the presence of marijuana, the subject will be charged with possession of marijuana and criminal trespass.
12/07/05 A suspicious person found loitering in the William S. White building was escorted from University property.
12/07/05 A complaint was made reference a man using fliers as a doodle pad. Upon contact, Public Safety realized the subject had been previously trespassed. A computer check revealed the subject had a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to court for arraignment.
12/08/05 A subject entered the University Pavilion after having been trespassed on numerous past occasions by Public Safety. A computer check revealed a warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested. A suspected crack pipe with suspected cocaine residue was found in his pocket. The subject was brought to court for arraignment and charges for possession of cocaine will be sought if the pipe tests positive for the presence of cocaine.
12/08/05 A suspicious person was found in an unattended office in the North Bank center. He was opening up desk drawers. He was able to flee the area before Public Safety arrived. This incident remains under investigation.
12/08/05 A wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen from an unlocked locker in the Recreation Center. This incident remains under investigation.
12/09/05 An unattended purse was stolen from an office in French Hall. The purse contained a cell phone, cash and credit cards. The victim’s mother started to receive calls from an unknown person wanting a reward for the return of the purse. This incident remains under investigation.
