April 3 – April 9, 2004
04/06/04 Tuesday DPS officers located a subject loitering in the University Pavilion matching the description of a subject reported to have a hand gun in the downtown area. He was checked and did not have a gun but it was learned he was a registered sex offender in felony violation of his reporting duties. He also had a pending warrant for possession of a concealed sawed off shot gun. DPS will be seeking a felony warrant for his registered sex offender reporting duty violation.
An associate that was with the above subject had several criminal warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to District Court for arraignment.
04/08/04 Thursday A woman was seen walking near University property and was recognized as having a felony drug warrant. She was arrested. She was transported to District Court for arraignment. Felony drug charges will be sought for her possession of a pipe with residue of a controlled substance.
04/08/04 Thursday Cash from a locked locker in the Recreation Center was stolen.
