April 23 – April 29, 2005

04/26/05 Two vehicles were broken into in the North Bank Center parking garage. A review of the video surveillance revealed a subject breaking into the cars. Latent finger prints were recovered and have been sent in for processing.

04/26/05 A man was arrested for begging in the University Pavilion after he approached a Public Safety employee and asked for money. This was the 2 nd time that this subject has approached the same employee with the same request for money. He was trespassed and released pending a warrant request.

04/28/05 A subject was arrested for trespass when found sleeping in the Murchie Science building at midnight. This was the 2 nd time this week that he had been found in the building. He was formally trespassed and released pending a warrant request.

04/29/05 A security guard in the North Bank building observed a man breaking into parking meters on Saginaw St . Public Safety arrived and arrested the subject. He was turned over to the Flint Police and jailed for a parole violation pending additional warrants for the breaking into the parking meter.

04/29/05 A Public Safety police officer approached a subject on the 3 rd floor of the Murchie Science building after recognizing the subject as someone that had created a disturbance the week before and was asked to leave campus. As the police officer was talking to the subject, the subject picked up a cell phone and then fled from the building. After a brief foot chase, the subject was stopped in front of the building. The subject then struck the police officer with his fist. After a brief struggle, the subject was controlled. He was transported to the Genesee County jail for assaulting on a police officer and several outstanding arrest warrants.
