Monthly Summary

January 28th – February 3rd, 2006

A subject resisted arrest in the Univeristy Pavilion and assaulted arresting Public Safety officers. The subject had been trespassed from the University due to past disorderly and assaultive behavior. He was transported to the Genesee county jail pending review by the Prosecutors office.

January 21st – January 27th, 2006

Hit and run property damage was reported to a car parked in Lot A. This investigation continues.

01/24/06 A VCR/DVD player was stolen from a media equipment cart in a classroom in the Murchie Science building. A suspect has been identified. Additional investigation is being conducted.

01/26/06 A subject found loitering in the University Pavilion after lock down was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was released after the County Jail refused to accept him.

January 14th – January 20th, 2006

01/09/06 A student left his Library work station unattended. When he returned, his backpack and textbooks had been stolen. This investigation continues.

01/15/06 A daughter ran away from her mother while at the Recreation Center. The daughter had contacted her father, who picked her up, and reported that her mother had grabbed her and injured her neck. The father took the daughter to a medical facility. This incident is under further investigation.

01/17/06 Public Safety responded to numerous ice related traffic accidents and slip and falls. Two Public Safety employees were likewise injured when they fell due to the ice while assisting other victims. Minor injuries were reported.

01/17/06 A car parked in Lot Q sustained hit and run property damage. A surveillance tape is being reviewed to see if an offender can be identified.

January 7th – January 13th, 2006

01/09/06 Public Safety received a call that a subject was begging in the William S. White building. After she was located, it was determined that she had an arrest warrant out for her. She was arrested and transported to court for arraignment. At the time she was arrested she was found in possession of a suspected crack pipe. Criminal charges are pending results of lab tests.

01/09/06 A student walking near the exit of the University Pavilion ramp was struck by a car as it was exiting the parking structure. The driver drove off without inquiring on the status of the pedestrian she struck. No injuries were suffered. This incident is under further investigation.

01/09/06 A staff member in the Univeristy Pavilion returned to her work station to find that someone had searched through her purse. She did not find anything missing.

01/11/06 Public Safety responded to a couple arguing over a cell phone in the University Pavilion. The argument was mediated and the parties went their separate ways.

01/12/06 A Recreation center member threatened to do bodily harm to a Recreation Center staff member. The subject was identified and handled internally.

01/12/06 Public Safety responded to a man having a possible heart attack in the pool. Recreation staff provided first aid until arrival of EMS. The man was transported to a medical facility for further treatment.

December 31, 2005 – January 6, 2006

01/06/06 A window in a car parked in the Harrison Street parking ramp was broken. This incident is under investigation.
