November 25th - December 1st, 2006
11/27/06 A woman followed her ex-boyfriend onto campus at the William S. White building. He called Public Safety. She was contacted and asked to leave him alone. She then left campus.
11/28/06 Money was stolen from an unlocked locker in the Recreation Center. This investigation continues.
11/29/06 One suspect out of a group accosted a male student walking across the Steven’s Street foot bridge. The student’s ball cap was removed from his head thrown into the Flint River. The suspect and his friends then ran away. Several were caught by Public Safety. This investigation continues.
11/29/06 A subject was arrested for begging students near the William S. White building after he confronted several students asking for money.
11/29/06 A wallet was stolen from an unlocked locker in the Recreation Center. This investigation continues
12/01/06 A student became angry and loud in an office in the University Pavilion about his graduation requirements. DPS responded and quieted the situation down. The student was advised on the proper way to dispute this issue.
November18th - November 24th, 2006
11/21/06 A student reported the theft of all four center caps from her wheels of her car while it was parked in the University Pavilion parking ramp. This investigation continues.
11/21/06 A subject was arrested for begging patrons near subway. He was trespassed from campus and escorted off of the property. A citation for disorderly person was issued to the subject.
11/22/06 A Flint Central high school student was found to be “skipping school” in the University Center. He was transported back to the high school and released to the principal.
11/23/06 A car was broken into in the Harrison Street parking ramp and property was stolen. This investigation continues
November11th - November 17th, 2006
11/13/06 A man was arrested on outstanding warrants after entered the William S. White building while arguing with his ex-girlfriend, a student of UM-Flint. He was transported to the 68th District court.
11/14/06 Public Safety responded to a possible domestic disturbance in Lot G. Further investigation revealed a difference of opinion that was being resolved.
11/14/06 Hit and run property damage accident was reported to a car parked in the University Pavilion parking ramp. This investigation continues.
11/16/06 Public Safety responded to a call of a student having a seizure in the Theatre lobby. First aid was given until the arrival of an ambulance. The student was transported to Hurley Medical.
11/16/06 A staff member reported that her purse had been stolen from within an office at the International Center. A suspect was identified and is being investigated. The purse was recovered minus a cell phone and cash.
11/17/06 A bookstore patron became angry over the length of time it took for the bookstore employee to get him his postage stamps. His behavior became intimidating. He left prior to DPS arrival.
11/17/06 DPS discovered a vehicle in Lot S that had a window broken out. The vehicle had been entered and the hood release opened. The battery was then stolen from the vehicle. DPS is investigating.
November 4th - November 10th, 2006
11/04/06 A student was forced to turn his car keys over to an acquaintance while in student lot A. The victim was then verbally forced to show the suspect where his car was parked. Again, the suspect verbally forced the victim into the car against his will and drove around Flint. The victim recovered the car on his own. This incident was reported to DPS on 11/8/06. The suspect was located and arrested in French Hall on 11/10/06. He has been charged with unarmed robbery and is currently lodged in the Genesee County Jail pending court appearances.
11/05/06 A car parked in the Harrison Street parking ramp was broken into. An electric guitar and a multi disc cd changer were stolen from the car. Further investigation discovered a witness who saw the unidentified suspect walking from the area in possession of a similar guitar. This investigation continues.
11/07/06 A cell phone was stolen while left unattended on the gym floor in the Recreation Center. The owner was nearby playing basketball. Surveillance film is being analyzed.
11/08/06 A subject walked into the clinic in the William S. White building requesting medical assistance. He was transported to Hurley medical center for further treatment.
11/09/06 A hit and run property damage accident report was made regarding damage to a car parked in the University Pavilion ramp. This investigation continues
