Annual Security Report and Disclosure of Crime Statistics
The UM-Flint Department of Public Safety (DPS) publishes this report to inform the UM-Flint community about campus security policies, initiatives to prevent and respond to crime and emergencies, and the occurrence of crime on campus and UM-Flint at Lansing Community College Downtown Campus . This report, which is compiled by the University’s Clery Compliance Coordinator in DPS, is prepared in cooperation with the Flint Police Department and other law enforcement agencies surrounding the Flint campus and outlying areas as well as those with police jurisdiction for other UM-Flint properties in cities such as Lansing to include Lansing Community College Public Safety.
This report complies with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and uses information maintained by DPS, information provided by other University offices such as Student Affairs, Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution, Office of Housing and Residential Life, and Human Resources Office of Institutional Equity (the UM-Flint’s Title IX office). Each of these offices provides updated policy information and crime data.
This report provides statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned, leased, or controlled by UM-Flint to include UM-Flint at Lansing Community College Downtown Campus. This report also includes institutional polices concerning campus security, such as policies regarding sexual violence (to include sexual assault/misconduct/harassment, intimate partner violence and stalking, alcohol and other drugs.
