General Information

The School of Education and Human Services prepares students for careers in education and the human services by offering degrees that blend a broad liberal education with preparation for professional roles. The School offers a variety of baccalaureate degrees, master’s degrees, a post-graduate degree in Educational Leadership, and certification programs. Currently, the School is comprised of a Department of Education, Department of Early Childhood, and Department of Social Work. The Department of Education provides teacher education preparation as well as master’s degree programs. Beginning in fall 2010, the School will launch its post-graduate degree Education Specialist degree program. The Department of Social Work provides baccalaureate level preparation for social work practice. As an extension of its mission to educate and serve the community beyond degree programs, the Early Childhood Development Center provides a nationally-accredited childcare program for infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children.
