Degree Requirements
All undergraduate business students must declare and fulfill the requirements for a major in at least one of the following areas: Accounting, Finance, General Business, International Business, Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management, Management, or Marketing. The majors in the BBA program are developed around market needs and faculty expertise and allow you to focus your studies and develop skills in an area of business consistent with your career objectives.

Major Descriptions
The accounting major prepares students for professional careers in public, managerial, and governmental accounting. Graduates of the program are also prepared for advanced study in accounting, management, law, or related fields.
The accounting curriculum emphasizes developing an understanding of the social, ethical, economic, legal, and regulatory environments that affect accounting. Development of problem solving, decision making, communication, and leadership skills, in addition to business and accounting knowledge, are emphasized. The finance major prepares students for professional careers in the fields of corporate finance, banking and financial institutions, and investment.
The finance curriculum emphasizes developing an understanding of these three areas of finance through courses on forecasting, portfolio theory and security analysis, options and futures markets, accounting, money and banking, management of working capital, and management of financial institutions. Finance faculty members are available to consult with students wishing to pursue careers in any of the above-mentioned areas.

The international business major is designed to prepare students for a marketing, finance, or management career in the international business environment.
The international business curriculum emphasizes understanding the differences between domestic and international business, understanding the global trade and investment environment, and recognizing the cultural, ethical and other issues that arise when firms engage in international business. Through this program, students will not only be academically prepared to succeed in this ever interconnected world, but will also have a global experience through a study abroad course or an internship at a multinational company. International business faculty members are available to consult with students wishing to pursue careers in any of the above-mentioned areas.

The Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management major prepares students for managerial positions and to contribute to the human resource functions within organizations.
The curriculum focuses on developing communication, interpersonal, team-building, and leadership skills. It also emphasizes the study of employee work behavior and how to maximize the potential of an organization's human resources.

The marketing major prepares students for professional careers in marketing such as advertising, sales, consumer research, and new product development in commercial and other organizations.
The marketing curriculum emphasizes the study of those aspects of the firm that are involved with the attributes of the product, its price, the place it will be distributed, and how it will be promoted, also known as the “Four P’s”. Marketing faculty members are available to consult with students wishing to pursue careers in any of the above-mentioned areas.
