Vahid Lotfi serves as Senior Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Programs at the University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint). He is also serving as the School of Management Acting Dean. He has served as the associate provost/senior vice provost since 2001 and oversees the Office of Graduate Programs, Information Technology Services, Office of Research, Office of Extended Learning, the International Center, and the International Global Studies program. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Executive Director of Information Technology Services and founding Interim Director of Online Learning Program at UM-Flint from 1996 to 2001. Dr. Lotfi holds the rank of Professor of Management Science in the School of Management at UM-Flint. Before joining the University of Michigan-Flint in 1990, he served as assistant professor of Management Science in the School of Management at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Dr. Lotfi has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Operations Research, from SUNY at Buffalo. He has published numerous research articles and has co-authored five books in the areas of management science and operations management. He has presented in many national and international conferences. Dr. Lotfi is also a certified Consultant-Evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Yener Kandogan joined the University of Michigan-Flint in 2002. He currently serves as a Professor of International Business and the Associate Dean of the School of Management. He received his Ph.D. (Economics) from the University of Michigan in 2001. He previously taught at the University of Michigan as well as University of Notre Dame. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in international business and economics. His recent publications appeared in the Review of International Economics, Journal of World Business, Thunderbird International Business Review, European Journal of International Management, Journal of International Trade and Economic Development, Journal of Applied Economics, Journal of International and Global Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Integration, Review of Applied Economics, International Economic Journal, and Journal of Business Ethics. He also served as a referee to many journals in international economics and business literature. He is also a faculty associate at the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies of the University of Michigan, and frequent contributor to William Davidson Institute working paper series of Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. He has many service contributions to the School and the University in several committees including Strategic Planning Steering Committee, several faculty and staff search committees, Design Team for SOM Space at a new building, Ad-hoc Course Evaluations Task Force, Critical Issues Luncheons Faculty Committee, Campus Master Plan Committee, Promotion and Tenure Committee, International Business Student Organization Faculty Advisor, Executive Board for the Phi Beta Delta Honor Society, SOM Library Liaison, Beta Gamma Sigma - Sergeant at Arms, and Maintenance of Accreditation Committee. As Associate Dean, he is responsible for maintenance and improvement of programs' quality including assurance of learning activities, and their promotion and expansion, preparation of articulation agreements including with international partners, maintenance of AACSB accreditation, faculty/staff/student recruitment and retention, supervision of staff, and communication with other university departments.

Kristin Arntz is the Executive Secretary to the Dean for the School of Management. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Michigan-Flint. Kristin has been employed by the university since 2007, in her previous position she worked as secretary to the Communication and Visual Arts department and as the Alumni Coordinator to the office of Development and Alumni Relations. Kristin plans to pursue a Master of Public Administration at UM-Flint.

Dennis Fattaleh is the Business Administrator for the School of Management. In this position, his areas of responsibility include budgetary control and oversight, SOM financial and human resources operations, SOM financial reporting and projections. His duties also include University and Departmental policy compliance, visa processing and purchasing. Prior to this position he was at U of M Ann Arbor where he worked with the Center for the Advancement of Clinical Research from 2000 - 2002. He holds an MBA in Tax, Finance and MIS from Michigan State University a BS in Computer Information Systems, University of Michigan-Flint, a BA in Professional Accounting, Michigan State University and a BS in Geology, Michigan State University.

Clement Chen, Ph.D. and CPA, is a Professor of Accounting at the University of Michigan-Flint. He joined the faculty of the School of Management in 2001. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky, MBA in Accounting and Finance from Michigan State University and BBA in Accounting from the University of Michigan. He teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting and cost accounting. His research areas of interest include budgeting, management control systems, forensic accounting, issues in accounting education, and effectiveness of blended learning and online learning. He has published in journals such as the Accounting Horizons, Advances in Management Accounting, Management Accounting Quarterly, Accounting and the Public Interest, Strategic Finance, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Managerial Auditing Journal, Advances in Accounting Education, Accounting Forum, Accounting Education: An International Journal, and CPA Journal. He is the recipient of 2008 University of Michigan-Flint Faculty Scholarly and Creative Achievement Award. He received Lybrand Gold Medal and Certificate of Merit for published manuscripts from the Institute of Management Accountants. Cathleen Miller, Associate Professor of Accounting, received her Ph.D. from University of Kentucky (1998). She teaches the tax preparation course to the undergraduates. Recently she made six conference presentations and has 5 peer reviewed publications in Managerial Auditing Journal, Advances in Public Interest Accounting, Research on Professional Responsibility and Ethics in Accounting and the CPA Journal. She is an Associate Professor at Wayne State University.

Keith Moreland joined the University of Michigan-Flint faculty in 1994 and currently holds the position of Professor of Accounting. He holds a Ph.D. (Accounting) and MBA (Finance Concentration) from the University of Cincinnati and a BBA (Accounting Concentration) from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). He is a CPA, registered in Michigan, and a CMA. Prior to beginning his teaching/research career, he worked as a Manager for an international public accounting firm and as the Controller for a national consumer services company. Moreland teaches a wide variety of upper level undergraduate and graduate accounting courses including auditing, intermediate and advanced financial accounting, governmental and non-profit accounting, and professional accountancy. He is the recipient of several campus teaching awards. Moreland is an active research, with a current focus in accounting pedagogical issues. He has published in Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Research in Accounting Regulation, The CPA Journal, and Issues in Accounting Education, among other journals. Moreland has held and currently holds various committee and service roles at UM-Flint, including two terms as Chair of the University Academic Affairs Advisory Committee, Chair of the most recent Chancellor Search Committee, and several terms on the School of Management Executive Committee. He is active in professional organizations, particularly as a member of the Michigan Association of CPA's Accounting Educators' Task Force, of which he is a current member and former Chair and Vice Chair. He has been recognized for service contributions as the recipient of the UM-Flint Distinguished Service Faculty award in 2009. He has also served as the Director of Academic Programs and as the Associate Dean of the School of Management.

Jacob C. Peng is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the School of Management, University of Michigan-Flint since 2005. He received his Ph.D. in business administration with accounting concentration from Texas Tech University. Prior to his doctoral work he earned an M.S. in Accountancy degree from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Professor Peng's research interest focuses on the behavioral impact of information technologies and how technologies affect the dissemination of accounting information. His work has been published in a number of scholarly journals, including Journal of Information Systems, Review of Accounting and Finance and Accounting Perspectives. Professor Peng is also an active member in the international academic community and develops a few successful study abroad programs that take students to Japan and Taiwan. Shawn Xu is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the School of Management, University of Michigan - Flint since September 2009. He earned the Ph.D. in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Michigan State University. He has taught Principle of Managerial Accounting and Intermediate Financial Accounting among other courses. In classroom, he encourages student participation and creates interaction opportunities through in-class activities and case studies. His research interests cover a variety of topics in accounting and finance areas and include accounting conservatism, financial reporting quality, executive compensation, corporate governance mechanisms and their interactions. He has received Excellent in Teaching Award from Michigan State University and was a Golden Apple Recipient at UM-Flint. He also received the Dean's Research Program Grant for 2009/2010 at UM-Flint. He is actively involved in School- and University-wide activities with a focus on students' affairs. He currently serves on the School's Undergraduate Committee and the University's Students' Concern Committees. He is a member of American Accounting Association and has served as referees for both the AAA Annual meetings and its financial reporting section's midyear meetings.

Francine Cullari is a Lecturer of Business Law. She has J.D. from Michigan State University and currently a candidate for LLM in International Business Law at University of London. In recent years, she took numerous continuing education legal courses. In addition to teaching Business Law in the BBA program and International Business Law in the MBA program, Francine also served for two years the Director of our school's Michigan Family Business Center. She participated in many of the center's workshops. Since Fall 2011, she has been part of the governing faculty of the School, also serving in the Summer Academic Review Committee. She collaborates with tenure-track faculty in research with concrete results in the form of publications (Journal of International Trade Law and Policy, Journal of Business Ethics, chapter in a book), conference proceedings and services to community businesses. She also has 12 non-peer reviewed publications. In addition to continuing her private practice of 28 years, she actively takes part in several committees and advisory boards of State Bar of Michigan. She attends school/university functions such as Dean Speaker Series, Business Appreciation Dinner, Economic Forum, Annual Internationalization Summits, and teaching center's workshops. She is a mentor to many students, particularly those interested in a legal career. Last but not least, she established the Alejandro and Emiliano Sanchez Scholarship, and provides input in the selection process.

Chris Lezovich, Lecturer of Accounting, teaches tax courses in BBA and MBA programs. He holds a J.D. from Detroit College of Law with emphasis on taxation. He is continuing his 24 years of professional experience as an IRS revenue agent. He serves on the advisory board of ITT Tech Institute, and continues his own development with two continuing professional education courses in Accounting and Auditing. He also makes a presentation on CPA review course.

Michael McCarthy serves as Lecturer of Accounting and Finance. He holds a Masters degree from Central Michigan University. He has 14 years of professional experience at various positions including controller, director of finance, business manager and financial analyst. He teaches introductory level accounting courses as well as the personal finance course. In previous years he taught the statistics and management science courses. He served on several Board of Directors and currently for a local credit union. Annually he attends the Conference for Michigan Credit Union Board Members, and audits one. In 2008, he also attended a conference on auditing credit unions.

Seyed Mehdian is Professor of Finance in School of Management at the University of Michigan-Flint. Prior to joining to U of M-Flint, he has taught at Temple University, Western New College, Ohio State University, and University of Baltimore. Seyed has published fifty scholarly articles in profession/academic journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance; Financial Services Research; Journal of Business Finance and Accounting; Real Estate Economics; Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics; and Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance. He is on the editorial boards of several finance journals and serves as Vice President of the Midwest Finance Association. Seyed has conducted and developed several study aboard courses to Russia, China, India, Japan, and Taiwan. He was awarded Fulbright Senior Research Scholar twice in 2007 and 2008 to carry out research and teaching in Romania. Seyed regularly travels to Romania to deliver lectures and carry out research projects at Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi. He has served in a number of doctoral dissertation committees and currently serves as an external member of a dissertation committee. Seyed has been reviewer of several books such as "An Introduction to the Mathematics of Financial Derivatives" by S. Neftci, "Investment: An Introduction," by H.B. Mayo, and "Cases in Financial Management" by E.F. Brigham. He has also reviewed papers for many professional journals including Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, and many others. Mark J. Perry is a full professor of economics and finance in the School of Management at the Flint campus of The University of Michigan, where he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in economics and finance since 1996. Starting in the fall of 2009, Perry has also held a joint appointment as a visiting scholar at The American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C., where he has been a regular contributor to the Enterprise Blog and American.com. Perry holds two graduate degrees in economics (M.A. and Ph.D.) from George Mason University and in addition, and has an MBA degree in finance from The University of Minnesota. Dr. Perry's primary academic research is in the area of applied macroeconomics and financial economics and he has published numerous scholarly articles in economics and finance journals. In addition to scholarly research, Perry enjoys writing guest editorials to a general audience on current economic issues. Perry's opinion pieces have appeared in more than twenty newspapers in the state of Michigan and most major newspapers around the country, including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, USA Today and Investor's Business Daily. Professor Perry has been best known in recent years as the creator and editor of one the nation's most popular economics blog, Carpe Diem. Professor Perry has written on a daily basis since the fall of 2006 to share his thoughts, opinions and expertise on economic issues, with a strong emphasis on displaying economic data in a visually appealing way using graphs, charts and tables. Carpe Diem has captured a growing international readership, and almost 5,000,000 people have visited Carpe Diem to read the more than 8,000 entries posted during the last four years.

Peter Bush is a Lecturer of Finance. He teaches courses in accounting and finance at both undergraduate and graduate level. He has an MBA and DBA from Lawrence Technological University. He currently works for Dana Corp. as a member of the senior finance management. He is currently working towards Certified Management Accountant examinations. He participated in multiple industry conferences in the last five years, and has one peer-reviewed publication in 2010. Peter also serves on the advisory board of Cabrini Clinic.

Brian D. Blume joined the faculty of the School of Management in 2006 after earning his Ph.D. from Indiana University. He also obtained an MBA degree from Bradley University and has experience as a manager in the healthcare industry. Brian teaches courses on 'Human Behavior in Organizations' and 'Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation'. His research focuses on the transfer of training, forced distribution performance management systems, organizational citizenship behaviors, and characteristics of entrepreneurs that are associated with successful new ventures. He has published his research in journals such as the Journal of Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business & Psychology, Journal of Occupational & Organizational Psychology, and the Journal of Business Venturing. He has received research grants from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Graduate Management Admissions Council. Amy R. Gresock, Ph.D., joined the faculty at the University of Michigan - Flint's School of Management in 2010. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Management. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Central Florida, with concentrations in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, and a minor area of Research Methods. Her masters and undergraduate studies were at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Gresock teaches graduate and undergraduate Capstone courses in Strategic Management. She also teaches entrepreneurship. The main focus of her research is resource accumulation processes in new firms. Her work has been presented at The Academy of Management Journal, The Babson Entrepreneurship Conference, and published in outlets such as the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development. She is active on campus and involved with a number of university programs.

Thomas A. Hemphill is an Associate Professor of Strategy, Innovation and Public Policy in the School of Management, University of Michigan-Flint. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a primary field in Strategic Management and Public Policy and Secondary Field in Technology and Innovation Policy from The George Washington University's School of Business. He also received an M.B.A. with a concentration in Government and Business from Drexel University; an M.S. in Organizational Dynamics with an emphasis in Technology Management and Corporate Planning from the University of Pennsylvania; and an M.S. in Public Policy with a specialization in Applied Economics and Policy Analysis from Rutgers University. Dr. Hemphill teaches courses in Strategic Management and Business and Society in the M.B.A. program. In the B.B.A. program, he teaches courses in Corporate & Business Strategy, Business and Society, Innovation Management and International Business. His research areas include: Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation; Technology and Innovation Policy; Business Governance and Ethics; and Global Business and International Political Economy. He has been published in such journals as Technology Analysis & Strategic Management, International Journal of Innovation Management, Science and Public Policy, Journal of Business Ethics, Business and Society Review, Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society and Thunderbird International Business Review, among others. In a recent article ("Business Ethics Research: A Global Perspective", K. Chan, H.G. Fung, and J. Yau, 95: 39-53, 2010) published in The Journal of Business Ethics, Dr. Hemphill was ranked 5th in the world as to "Leading Authors in Business Ethics Research (1999-2008)" based on an evaluation of 10 years of publication data from 10 leading business ethics, business and society and corporate governance journals. Gregory A. Laurence, Ph.D. in Management, is an Assistant Professor of Management at the School of Management, University of Michigan, Flint. His teaching portfolio includes undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational behavior, negotiation and conflict resolution, and human resource management. His research interests revolve around ownership of space and responsibility at work, and include workaholism, job crafting, and workspace personalization and how these and other topics intersect with the experience of stress and overload at work. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the Asia Academy of Management, and the Academy of International Business. Dr. Laurence did his graduate work at Syracuse University, earning his Ph.D. in Management (2010) and MBA (2003) from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management and his MA in International Relations (2004) from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. His undergraduate degree in history is from Ohio University (1992). Prior to beginning his Ph.D., Dr. Laurence worked as Membership Manager for the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan and as a business development manager for PADECO, Co., Ltd., a development consultancy based in Tokyo, Japan. He began his professional career as a teacher of English as a Second Language at Meitoku Gijuku Jr. and Sr. High School and AEON Corp., Ltd. in Japan. Since 2010, he has served on the Board of Trustees of the not-for-profit Lake Erie International Model United Nations Corporation and on the Board of Visitors of his undergraduate alma mater, Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College.

Kristan Skylar Powell is an Assistant Professor of International Business and joined the School of Management in 2011 after completing his PhD in International Management at the University of Hawaii. He also completed his master's in management at Durham University in the UK. Skylar's research interests are primarily in the areas of FDI theory and the strategic management of multinational enterprises, and multinational professional service firms in particular. In addition to a number of presentations at conferences such as the Academy of Management's annual conference, Skylar has also published articles in peer reviewed journals such as Personnel Review. When he is not working on research or teaching international business courses at UM-Flint, Skylar is actively involved as an alumnus of the East-West Center and serves as a reviewer for the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, the Southeast Chapter of the Academy of International Business, the Journal of Business Ethics, and Personnel Review.

Rod McGraw is a Lecturer of Management. He has a doctoral degree in Leadership (1982) and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Wayne State University. He has 30 years of professional experience at Ford Motor Company. He teaches courses in Leadership and Human Resource Management in the BBA and MBA programs. Recently, he made a presentation at a management conference (2008), and published in the proceedings. He also had a speech engagement at a professional association for HR executives in the same year, and participated in two conferences on consulting and SHRM conference in 2011. He manages a condo association. Dr. McGraw is a former Dean of the School, and since Fall 2011, he has been part of the governing faculty of the School. Dave Nelson commenced working as a Lecturer in the fall of 2011 at the School of Management, where he instructs Operations and entry-level Microsoft Business Applications (MIS) on-campus, at satellite locations and online. He has over 10 years of experience instructing in-class, hybrid and online courses in Business, and Mathematics, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dave has a Master's degree in Science, an MBA from Purdue, and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate (Supply Chain Operations) at The University of Toledo, OH. With extensive industry experience in business startup, development, and management, Dave's research focus is in the area of business sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and Triple Bottom Line. Dave's publications focus on supply chain sustainability, such as Journal of Supply Chain Management and International Journal of Logistics Systems and Management. He also has published research in Biodiesel, acted as co-author of a mass transit Alternative Energy study under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Transportation, and developed several manuals for industry. Larry Nichols is a Lecturer of Management and teaches the introduction to business course. He holds an MBA from University of Michigan and has 33 years of professional experience at executive level at various banks. He is currently President of a golf and country club and a member of Business Advisory Services company. His recent consulting engagements include a CPA firm, three community banks and 11 other businesses in various industries. He also participated in 9 conferences/workshops/seminars of bank associations, and chambers. Larry has also been serving the school as the executive-in-residence by developing external relationships with the business community, bringing in guest speakers to our classrooms, identifying internships with the students and exploring fund raising opportunities. Dale Tuttle, Lecturer of Management, teaches introduction to business, entrepreneurship and strategy courses in our undergraduate and graduate programs. He holds an MBA from University of Michigan (1986). He has one book chapter publication. Dale is a co-founder of a non-profit organization and the Vice-president of a property association. He served on the board of a national association and a for-profit company. He recently had two consulting engagements for two separate non-for-profit associations and made several presentations for the Innovations Incubator. He participated in several entrepreneurship and family business operations workshops and in the annual conference of the Academy of Management in 2009. In 2008, he was certified as General Securities Representative and as Uniform Securities Agent.
Dale also contributes to the school's mission as the Director of the Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. He also assists in the coordination of the Community One projects, and writes grant applications on behalf of the school. He has also been instrumental in development of programs such as veteran's entrepreneurship boot camp. Michael Witt is a Lecturer of Management and Business Law, teaching courses in business law, entrepreneurship and the freshmen level introduction to business course in the undergraduate program. He has a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University (1982). He was recently awarded three research grants, and currently works as the project manager for these grants. He is the President of a medical product technology development company and CEO of a biodiesel startup company. He served on the board of two different organizations. As the entrepreneur-in-residence, he has been providing mentorship to students in their business development initiatives, network and develop professional relationships for the school to identify collaborative projects. He has also been the key individual in writing of several grants for the school and implementing a few grants that received funding for the university. He is the university representative to many regional economic and business development efforts such as Engen, E-Team, and Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. Sy Banerjee, PhD in Business (specialization: Marketing and Consumer Behavior), is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at UM-Flint. He teaches Marketing Management, Market Research, Consumer Behavior and Tech Marketing Applications at both undergraduate and MBA level courses. He has helped the UM Flint School of Management win the Community One Awards from MMBDC through his teaching and the OakGov challenge with AT&T through his research efforts. Erin Cavusgil is an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan-Flint. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and a PhD in Marketing from Michigan State University. She spent 3.5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry as a chemical engineer. Her main research interests include new product development, innovation, and marketing strategy. Dan Lake, Lecturer of Marketing, is a Ph.D. candidate at Michigan State University. He has a Masters degree from Northwestern University. He had 7 years of professional experience. He teaches various courses in marketing for both the BBA and MBA program. He had a conference presentation at American Academy of Advertising in 2010, participated in 2011 American Marketing Association Educators Conference, and provided consulting services to several small retailers. Dan Lake contributes to the academic life of our school beyond teaching as faculty advisor for many marketing student internships, and has been providing informal career advice to our students, including reviewing their resume. He is also the faculty advisor to the student organization of Marketing and Advertising Student Professionals. Gregory DeYong is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the University of Michigan-Flint. Dr. DeYong's research focuses on inventory management and purchasing issues, with a particular emphasis on purchasing from alternative sources or using expedited shipping to meet unexpected demand. Prior to earning a Ph.D. from Indiana University, Dr. DeYong worked at several manufacturing firms for over fifteen years, holding positions in finance, purchasing, and as a factory manager. Dr. DeYong has worked as a consultant in both the consumer product and construction product industries, focusing on the analysis of large data sets and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Dr. DeYong is also active in both academic and practitioner groups, including the Decision Sciences Institute, INFORMS, and APICS. As an instructor, Dr. DeYong has taught both operations management and service operations management courses and has extensive experience in instructing students in the application of business technology. In particular, Dr. DeYong's classes emphasize the application of business tools such as Microsoft Excel to solve real-world problems.

C. Peeth Kartha is David M. French Professor of Quantitative Methods. He joined UM-Flint in September, 1979. He holds a Doctorate in Statistics with a minor in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. His teaching interests are in the area of Statistics, Management Science, Production and Operations Management and Quality Management. His research interests are in the area of Box-Jenkins Time Series, Design of Experiments, Quality Engineering and Total Quality Management. He is also an industrial consultant and has developed and presented several workshops in Statistical Process Control, Taguchi Methods and Quality Engineering. He has served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for two years. Elena A. Khapalova, Ph.D., is a tenure track Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the School of Management, University of Michigan-Flint since September 2010. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management (2009), as well as her MBA with a concentration in MIS (2004), from Washington State University. She has taught undergraduate courses in Business Statistics and Operations Management both at the University of Michigan-Flint and at Washington State University. Vahid Lotfi serves as Senior Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Programs at the University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint). He is also serving as the School of Management Acting Dean. He has served as the associate provost/senior vice provost since 2001 and oversees the Office of Graduate Programs, Information Technology Services, Office of Research, Office of Extended Learning, the International Center, and the International Global Studies program. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Executive Director of Information Technology Services and founding Interim Director of Online Learning Program at UM-Flint from 1996 to 2001. Dr. Lotfi holds the rank of Professor of Management Science in the School of Management at UM-Flint. Before joining the University of Michigan-Flint in 1990, he served as assistant professor of Management Science in the School of Management at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. Dr. Lotfi has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Operations Research, from SUNY at Buffalo. He has published numerous research articles and has co-authored five books in the areas of management science and operations management. He has presented in many national and international conferences. Dr. Lotfi is also a certified Consultant-Evaluator for the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Fred E. (Ted) Williams is Professor of Operations Management and Management Science. After earning a Ph.D. in Management Science at Purdue University, Ted served for fifteen years on the faculty of Georgia Institute of Technology. At Georgia Tech, he taught management science and operations management and served for six years as faculty coordinator of the College of Management graduate programs. Subsequently he has served as professor and dean of the business schools at Tennessee Technological University, Bowling Green State University, and Berry College before joining the University of Michigan-Flint as professor and dean of the School of Management in 1998.
Dr. Williams returned to the faculty in January 2004. He teaches operations management, management science, and information technology strategy and management. His publications have appeared in Management Science, The Review of Economic Studies, Decision Sciences, Interfaces, and INFORMS Transactions on Education.
