Accordingly, students seeking admission to the NTPU/UM-Flint dual MBA program should have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, be nominated by NTPU, and meet the admission criteria of UM-Flint. The University of Michigan-Flint provides assistance in location and accommodation, as well as academic and advising matters. Upon arrival, NTPU students are strongly encouraged to meet with the MBA Program Director to develop a curriculum plan that meets their unique career goals. In addition, the School of Management has a blog to answer frequently asked questions by international students prior to their arrival.
The dual MBA program consists of an initial study period on the NTPU campus and approximately 12 months on the UM-Flint campus for a general MBA, and longer for an MBA with a concentration. To reduce the duration of study, some of the graduate coursework on the UM-Flint campus may be taken in mixed online and residency format. NTPU students who wish to pursue an MBA degree at UM-Flint should complete the following coursework:

* The UM-Flint general MBA degree requires 42 credit hours. A minimum of 30 credit hours must be taken at UM-Flint. The UM-Flint MBA degree with a concentration requires 45 credit hours. A minimum of 33 credit hours must be taken at UM-Flint. Some of the required 42-45 credit hours can be waived or transferred. To transfer or waive a course, students need to obtain a minimum grade of B in the respective courses taken at NTPU. A maximum of three courses (nine credits) can be transferred towards the UM-Flint MBA degree.
** To waive MGT 521, students must take both Financial and Accounting Analysis and Cost and Managerial courses at NTPU and receive a minimum grade of B in each course.

Description: Emphasis on development of effective communication skills for the executive role. Communication proficiency, grammar review, listening, sensitivity to receivers, giving feedback, helping relationships, and diagnosing the communication health of the organization; response to the organizational environment. Emphasis on clarity, persuasiveness, performance in speaking and writing. Includes various contexts likely to be part of the organization dynamic: interpersonal, dyadic, small group, and public speaking.

Description: Research and theory based on examination of human behavior in organizations with emphasis on management of the organization's human resources. Outlines the contributions of historical and organizational theorists and contemporary trends in organizations. Examines individual elements of motivation, personality, perception, and diversity (including global/international differences). Examines group issues of power, conflict, group dynamics, and team building. Addresses personal and organizational ethics, leadership, and decision making. This course will also address the use of organizational human resource policies and how they can affect human behavior in organizations.

Description: Explores practical applications of modeling concepts and methods to management decision situations and processes. Modern, professional-grade spreadsheet software is employed to develop and analyze models of professional quality in areas such as operations, capital budgeting, bidding, and aggregate planning.

Description: Traditional concepts such as market segmentation and product life cycle; new concepts such as product positioning, market structure analysis, portfolio management, and consumer measurement. Theory and models applicable to product development; emphasis on consumer measurement techniques and new product planning. Focus on strategic issues of the marketing planning process and its integration with the new product development process.
