Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (MCEL)

Mission Statement

The mission of the Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership is to promote business growth through our leadership program that offers experiential learning to business owners and organization decision makers.

In addition, we intend to stimulate regional economic growth by offering MBA candidates as interns to our business leaders, charging them with the specific task of assisting our leadership program participants with the development of focused strategic action plans.

Overview

The School of Management's Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (MCEL) is launching in 2009 in Troy Michigan, and is designed to serve as a cooperative effort among commercial enterprises, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. Our intent is to create a robust entity that invites and encourages participation of decision makers who desire to enhance their entrepreneurial leadership skills while developing their companies and organizations in an innovative manner.

MCEL's 10-month Leadership Program's objective is to improve the management abilities of business leaders and the profitability of their firms, while building new business relationships through an expanded network of contacts.
