Larry Nichols
Larry Nichols is currently the Executive-in-Residence at the University of Michigan-Flint and Lecturer in the School of Management. He also serves as Interim Director of the Michigan Family Business Center as well as the Membership Advocate for the Michigan Council on Economic Education. He is also the President of Business Advisory Services, LLC and an “outside” Director of a local Manufacturing Company. He also provides consulting services for Derderian, Kann, Seyferth & Salucci, P.C.

Nichols began his banking career with Genesee Bank/NBD Bank as a credit analyst. He held positions of increasing responsibility there in commercial lending and was eventually appointed First Vice President/Group Head of NBD’s Product support Group. He also has held senior leadership positions with Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase), National City Bank (now PNC Bank), Huntington Bank and was President & CEO of Oakland Commerce Bank.

Nichols earned both a bachelor’s degree and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint. He completed the Banking and Financial Services Executive Program from U of M and graduated from the National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma.

Active in the community, Nichols is on the Chairman of the advisory board for the U of M-Flint School of Management. He was an assistant tournament director for the Buick Open at Grand Blanc’s Warwick Hills, where he was also the Club’s President. He has also been active with the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce since 1990. He also attended the Citizens Academy for the FBI and the DEA and remains an active member of the Base Community Council for Selfridge ANG Base in Michigan. Recently Nichols was named to the Economic Roundtable for the Detroit branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for a two year term and appointed to a teaching position at the Perry School of Banking for the Michigan Bankers Association.




Dale Tuttle, MBA
Director, Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership

Dale Tuttle
Dale Tuttle is a Director of the Michigan Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and lecturer of Strategic Management and at the University of Michigan-Flint. During his 17 year academic career, he has taught courses at the MBA and undergraduate levels, including Ethics, Human Resource Development, and Strategic Management. In 2001, Dale left his full-time faculty position at UM-Flint to serve as Vice President of Strategic Management at Cambridge Group Investments. While at Cambridge, he helped to develop an online bond trading business, bondpage.com, that was successfully sold in 2007. In addition, Dale is a co-founder of the Zebra Network, an online shopping network (www.shopzebra.com) that is designed to generate funds for individuals and non-profit organizations. Currently Dale is returning to full-time service at UM-Flint to teach Strategic Management and to help develop an Entrepreneurship program of study.
